Pioneer Equipment Receives Presidential Award for Exports
![]() MAY 28, 2014 WASHINGTON - U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker today presented Pioneer Equipment Company with the President's "E" Award for Exports at a ceremony in Washington, D.C. The "E" Awards are the highest recognition any U.S. entity may receive for making a significant contribution to the expansion of U.S. exports. Pioneer's President, Michel Allen, - "We are very honored to receive the prestigious "E" Award. With over 1000 pieces of heavy equipment shipped to Africa since 2005, the Pioneer team in the U.S. and in Africa have worked hard to earn this recognition. Pioneer Equipment's success over the years is due to our commitment to deliver quality equipment and secure our customer's loyalty." Highlighting Pioneer's practical experience in the developing world, Secretary Pritzker pointed out in her congratulatory letter that "the E Awards committee was very impressed with Pioneer Equipment's development of new markets for its products throughout Africa. The company's retrofitting of equipment with mechanical components more suited for use in developing countries was also particularly impressive."
